Site Suitability Analysis and Design

Wind - Working out the suitability of a wind farm site takes into account a number of considerations, including environmental, meteorological, ground and seismic factors. These assessments may be necessary at various stages. Site suitability assessments entail: assessment of climatic conditions, pre-assessment of load assumptions, load calculation, lifetime estimate. Enviko has all the multi-disciplinary expertise and experience needed to perform these assessments.

Solar PV – Every business is different and there are a vast number of factors to take into account before deciding on whether a site is suitable for solar PV installation. Each site has unique characteristics that affect its suitability, including orientation, slope, access and maintenance issues. Our experience in assessing site suitability means that we can swiftly and effectively identify and advise on the potential for your site to have a solar PV installation.

Renewable Heating – Since renewable heating systems of various forms are generally smaller than wind or solar systems they are more easily suited to different sites. Air source heat pumps can be used in existing buildings, refurbishments or new buildings. New properties have the benefit of good insulation and so are ideal especially for heat pumps. Combining heat pump installation with renovation work can reduce the overall cost of installing the system in an existing property.

wind Turbine Selection and Procurement

Turbine Selection and Procurement Turbine procurement is one of the most important aspects of a wind energy development. Turbines may represent up to 80% of the capital cost of a wind farm and their reliability and long-term power output are crucial to the financial performance of the project.

It is important to secure not only an acceptable price, but also the right guarantees, delivery and performance bonds and specific guarantees on aspects of performance governed by planning conditions, such as noise.

We have long-standing contacts with all the major manufacturers. Acting on behalf of owners, investors and banks, Enviko draws on years of experience to offer a comprehensive array of commercial and management services.

Whether planning, acquiring, operating, re-powering or selling a wind farm, Enviko can offer clients a range of skills and experience – from essential project services such as due diligence, through to adding value by way of project lifetime support.
